Metoclopramide (as HCL) Capsules
- Metoclopramide is used in dogs, cats, and small mammals to stimulate the stomach and upper small intestine, prevent esophageal reflux, move food and hairballs, prevent vomiting, induce milk let-down, and promote milk production. It’s sometimes used in horses as a shot for esophageal reflux or stimulating the upper small intestine but it’s not effective for constipation.
- Contact your veterinarian if your animal develops severe side effects such as restlessness, hyperactivity, rigid posture, spasms, aggression, or drowsiness or depression while taking methylprednisolone. Increased urination and disorientation may occur in cats and constipation may occur in both dogs and cats.
- Can be administered orally, with or without food. In cases where vomiting is a concern, it may also be given subcutaneously.
